Interior Design Services range from a Perfect Piece to a Complete Dream Home -

Whether a homeowner is shopping for that one, perfect accessory, that one comfortable room or that one exquisite dream home, the design team at Reinboth no doubt has the answer. Specialists in upscale residential design, the designers at Reinboth pride themselves on allowing their clients' personalities to come through in each of their projects.

"We're not about forcing our own personal tastes onto our clients' homes," say Scott Reinboth, principal. "The beginning of each project involves a detailed interview with the client to uncover their lifestyle habits and personalities. We want to know how they live and how they use each room in the house. Then it's our job to reinterpret our clients through furnishings, fabrics, colors and accessories."

The one common element that does drive all Reinboth projects is comfort. "People today really live in their homes" Reinboth says. "Homes are no longer staid showplaces where only company get to sit on the good furniture. A home, therefore, has to be equally appropriate for the kids as it is for the visiting boss. We strive to find that perfect balance of elegance and comfort in everything we create."

Trends in home design are moving toward a more streamlined, pared down look for the millenium, according to Reinboth. Colors are more often solid and neutral than bright and patterned. And Reinboth is quick to point out that neutral doesn't mean 12 different shades of beige.

"Moss green is a very important neutral "he says. "We're also doing a lot of grays, browns and blacks. White is a great accent color."

Reinboth also specializes in unique solutions to traditional questions. Recently, the design team installed wide plank wood flooring in a custom-designed home. But instead of polyurethane sealant on the floor, the team stained the wood ebony and sealed it with a gloss finish. Needless to say, the resulting black mirror finish is dramatic, but it also acts to ricochet a person's line of sight up into the room.

Another client needed something to tie her segmented great room together. The great room housed an open kitchen on one end, a dining room in the middle and a living room at the opposite end. Rather than use rugs or artwork to connect the spaces, Reinboth chose concrete as the tie that binds. This non=traditional exterior surface was used as the kitchen countertop, a custom planter in the dining room and the fireplace surround and mantel in the living room.

Reinboth's inspirations are often as colorful as some of his design solutions. He cites I.M. Pie, Liagre and Barbara Barry as some of the more expected sources of inspiration. But he says he also draws ideas from the fashions of Tom Ford and Prada as well as from more irreverent sources such as the old "Dick Van Dyke Show" and the cult film, "Valley of the Dolls."

Reinboth opened the Reinboth studio in 1992 and was it's original - and only - employee. The business began as a home furnishings, gifts and antiques store, but almost immediately his customers recognized his unique sense of style and his eye for detail. Soon, they began bringing him their decorating questions and challenges. In 1994, he began offering interior design services in earnest, hired a staff of four superbly qualified designers to work with him and began to attract an enthusiastic clientele.

"All our clients tend to be forward-thinking and young," he says. "Not necessarily young in years, but young in spirit, attitude and point-of-view. They tend to be the types that appreciate the value a design team can bring to their quality of living."
